Mokule`ia Writers Retreat Cost Details
The rooms at the camp feature stunning views and are just steps from the beach. But the accommodations are simple, even Spartan. Each room has large picture windows, two twin beds, a bedside table with reading lamp, a writing table, and two chairs. Upstairs rooms have en suite baths; downstairs rooms have one bath shared by two private rooms.
Prices below reflect the TOTAL per person cost for the entire six-day, five-night retreat.
FOR ROOMS IN THE LODGE:
A. Packages for writers (includes a minimum five-day stay, three meals each day, two writing workshops per day, all camp activities, evening programs):
- Single writer in upstairs room w/private bath: $1,000
- Single writer in downstairs room w/shared bath: $970
- Writer in upstairs shared room w/private bath: $790
- Writer in downstairs shared room w/shared bath: $760
B. Packages for family members or companions in double room (includes a minimum five-day stay, three meals each day, all camp activities, evening programs, but NO WORKSHOP*):
- Second person in upstairs room w/private bath: $400
- Second person in downstairs room w/shared bath: $370
*Add $390 to each price if the second person wants to take the writing workshops
C. Packages for locals staying elsewhere (includes a minimum five days, two meals each day, two writing workshops per day, all camp activities, evening programs):
- Single local writer staying elsewhere: $500
D. Packages for writing fellows (includes a minimum five-day stay, three meals each day, all camp activities, evening programs, but NO WORKSHOP):
- Single in upstairs room w/bath: $700
- Single in downstairs room w/shared bath: $670
- Each of two in upstairs room w/private bath: $435
- Each of two in downstairs room w/shared bath): $405
E. FOR CAMPING IN THE TENT FIELD**:
Package for writers (includes a minimum five-day stay, three meals each day, two writing workshops per day, all camp activities, evening programs)
- Single camper/writer: $650
**Limited camping is available. Campers must bring their own tents and share bathrooms with all other campers.
These are flat-rate packages based on a five-night stay and access to activities. We are sorry, but modifications are not possible.
